Day 17 - July 14 - Kindersley to Outlook 163km

Today is what we've all been waiting for. We finally have a proper tailwind on these flat Prairie roads! Dave and I leave at 6 on Route 7 and Al catches us 50km later. We cruise into Rosetown for lunch at Dairy Queen and find Chris, Glenn and Jan already there. I am told that ingesting too little salt can become a problem on this trip because we're losing so much of it as we exercise. My solution is to order fries every time I get a burger. Believe me, it's a sacrifice I am willing to make anytime if it concerns my health.

We follow Route 15 for a few hours and reach Outlook by late afternoon. Before long the tents are set up in the shade and I'm hungry for a meal. I snack on a PBJ sandwich to tide me over until our dinner of pasta, bread and salad.

Glenn meets a couple of teachers today and explains about the Tour. They kindly offer to let us in the computer room at the high school to access our email. Another very nice town with very nice people.
