Day 26 - July 23 - Rest Day in Kenora

Feels great to sleep in until 7:30. Normally I wake up at 4:30. I help myself to some Frosted Flakes for breakfast while I gather up all of my cycling clothes to be washed. This is one of the nicer campsites; there is both laundry and computer access at the office, the showers are free and the mosquitos are few.

While the laundry is going I check my email and get an ice cream cone. Cookies 'n cream is my favourite. Then it's back to camp to drape the clothes over the tent so they can dry in the sun.

Jen has some friends visiting today, so about eight of us cram into their half-tonne truck and get dropped off at the bike shop in town. I get another pair of shorts so I don't have to do laundry as often. I wander around town for awhile, stopping at the library to check my email again (I don't get much chance during the week) and I get a cheeseburger at 2:30 as a late lunch.

I eat an early dinner at Boston Pizza with Jen, then we go see Huskie the Muskie, a 40 foot high fish, for a photo. It's a wonderfully relaxing day with all the elements of a Sunday afternoon at home. No cycling for me today, that's for sure.

Looks like we'll get another storm tonight. It's clouding over and getting very windy. Hopefully it won't last long; it's no fun taking down a wet tent at 5am.
